We lost our second game..... BOOOO!!
5-2 to the London team with the long german name.
It was a really intense match and we're all pretty wobbly after! We've still got one more chance to stay in. Do or die!

DIE!
We lost 3-2 to Team Glob from Manchester. Another great game, those guys are awesome dudes. It got pretty aggresive with a whole bunch of shoving and swearing but a friendly end.
Today has been INCREDIBLE. Now it's Stella time before the bus and train home.
DONE.

I'm on the coach back to london now. It was a brilliant day. The last few games got quite heated and were pretty stressful to watch. Cheers bogey, lee and stacey. It was really, really fun.
Polo tomorrow then? I'm fully pumped right now. And full of Stella.

it was an absolute belter of a day. great to meet like minded fellows and ladies. cambridge tournament is on the cards for sure. whats surprising is that there isn't actually much organising to do, only inform the many of the event, book the court, modify the court as we normally do, keep note of the scores, and have fun. the people make it what it is.... cracking :)
thank you baker stace and matt for being awesome dudes and sorry to the chaps who couldn't make it down.

I was thinking the only thing that is a downer about our court is the lack of viewing facilities for spectators . I wonder if any one knows any scaffolders that could "erect" a grandstand on one side to view the proceedings for the event . It would not be probably health and saftey but just a thought it was a idea . polo is nice to watch and people play better with an audience cheering them on . Wouldn't have to be much . Might overlook peoples gardens though...

I'm sure I might be able to get some =)
My Pa definatley has some scaffolding, chairs & some stage blocks (which can come about 6ft up) and they have been used for raked seating before, I'll ask him if you want? -

i'm sure we could wangle a toilet into an all day rental of the court with some nifty negotiation. p'haps invite some of the centres personnel to open the centre itself and sell tea/coffee/snacks to the poloists on the day. that's their incentive to open up, they'd make some reasonable money for the centre with little effort

me and baker were discussing this last night before polo, and we concluded..
*nmarket road court not really suitable for large groups of people
*arbury court probably better for pure polo
*lets do this after ehbpc
*film festival and rollapalooza events tied in for added funscaffolding would need to have a scaffold certificate at the very least for the centres insurances, and that generally costs a fuck load :(

I actually was thinking about this yesterday and sent an email to the Arbury community centre folk to see what the deal was with wanting to use the court all day. No reply yet.
so 8 then awesome we gonna whoop sum butt
