David Cameron’s bike’s gone again To lose one bike, Mr Cameron, may be regarded as a misfortune; to lose it again looks like carelessness. This week the Tory leader had his bike stolen again. This time it wasn’t just chained to a small bollard, but was taken from railings outside his London home. Last time he got his silver and black Scott bike back, so let’s hope he’s not one of the 95% of cyclists who never see theirs again. Sadly, bike theft often puts people off cycling and many never get another bike after theirs is stolen: according to research group Design Against Crime at the University of the Arts London, 17% of cyclists experience bicycle theft: of these 24% stop cycling and 66% cycle less often.
