  • has anyone made a filthy joke yet regarding the thread title? if not then i volunteer...

    like this???

  • That picture is freakier than the sum of its parts.

  • I'd use the small one to assist me in mounting the larger one, I'd then jump off and do the little one.

I would, that's what I would do, just like I said.

  • i bet you would

  • I would insist the smaller one walks 20 yards ahead of the larger one to balance out the universe.

The only Open Pros on that list near your Scales of Infinite Grammage(tm) are the CD ones and even they are only recorded at 455g. I think you should bin the spokes and rims and just ride the hubs for super weight savings.

  • the small one's good for nowt but getting on the phone and ordering the curry.

the other one...I would like to spend some time with.

    about 40 years

  • I think it might just be a historical / fashion thing. The new Campag Record Pista hubs are low flange, and my new Campag road wheels have high flange hubs!

so i might be right with my CD observation?! :)

  • Dt 1.1 are a little deeper section than open pros. 1.2's are Dt's supposed deep section rim.

    Yep, DT=21.3mm v OpenPro=18.5mm

1.2's are Dt's supposed deep section rim.

    Same depth as Deep Vs.

  • nah... its a spoke length thing, and these days fashion, i like both and have both on 2 diff bikes.
:D go with medium flange. all good

Go with both on same bike..

    I recommend:
36h HF (Miche) rear and 16h LF Campy Record (I guess, it's a Shamal) on front..

Or, just get discwheels, then you don't have to worry about HF/LF.. :)

  • what would happen if i had high flange hub on the front wheel and low flange on the back? rims are mavic cxp 33 and hubs are shimano dura-ace 7710 track? oh and 36 spokes on each

  • I'm not sure, but if my bloody rims ever turn up, I shall have LF Campag Record front and HF Miche Primato rear.
