Tactically, Hiddink is probably the best manager in the world at the moment. They were spot on last night, only side not to concede at Camp Nou this season. 1-1 or even 2-1 defeat away, is generally considered better than 0-0, but Chelsea may well have been torn apart if they'd opened up and attacked.
Manc Ronnie, whats the point in playing like a first division side whose got a premiership side away in the fa cup, play for a replay, hope to do them on the break, snatch a goal. Is it me or aren't Chelsea supposed to be bigger/better than that. I know winning is everything, but to win you've got to score, an away goal makes it really hard for barca, not even trying for one makes you look like a small side, what was mourinho saying about smaller teams coming and parking the bus, exactly what chelsea did last night, no ambition, and who cares if your tactically astute if you didn't threaten the oppositions goal for the majority of the match.
so now they'll be at home and have to attack, which fingers crossed means that barca will get some time and space on the counter, knock a couple past cech and put to the sword the idea that you can win the european cup, by nullifying your opponents away and give 'em a good shellacking at home...

NAY NAY and THRICE NAY to video replays will do nothing for the game but slow it down, unnecessarily, I'll keep telling all of you whinging bastards, that video replay has enhanced none of the sports it is in, it just gives the media more to talk about, and the fans more time to gaze at their navels as someone looks at all the replays from different angles, before getting it wrong.
Video replays are an abomination and should be kept as far as possible from football. Fans and managers need to man up and accept that mistakes happen in football, because its officiated by humans and nobody's perfect. Video replays in the box, for contentious decisions, then for everything under the sun, thin edge of the wedge. The flow of the game is more important to me, than every foul, contentious moment being replayed and debated and then a decision made.
Those who call for video replays should be careful what they wish for, lest it take away the game they love and turn it into something they can't stand/watch...
