  • is it just me, but were chelsea so scared/concerned about barca's attacking threat, that they decided to cede territory and possession, at every opportunity, and weren't even bothering to try to attack, that was probably one of the most lop sided games I've seen in a while.
I know Chelsea will give it the beans at home, and with puyol missing the second leg and marquez out - possibly for the rest of the season, Barca are going to be wobbly at the back, but you would have thought that the desire for an away goal would have meant they would have at least tried to attack at some time.
Chelsea just shut up shop, played not to lose a goal and made no efforts to put barca under pressure, their two best opportunities came from mistakes by barca.
disappointed in chelsea's non attacking appearance, this is the semi final for chrissakes, at least make a bit of an effort...

Tactically, Hiddink is probably the best manager in the world at the moment. They were spot on last night, only side not to concede at Camp Nou this season. 1-1 or even 2-1 defeat away, is generally considered better than 0-0, but Chelsea may well have been torn apart if they'd opened up and attacked.
