  • All Saint's jeans are loverly, just picked up a pair yesterday in one of their outlet stores for €70 ;) The old ones were nicer too!

    All Saints Mens Denim

  • I like to ponce around in relatively svelte jeans, but I can't ride distance in them - I need something bigger like carharrts.

I've got one pair of proper skinny jeans which are surprisingly comfortable to ride in as they''ve got elastic or something woven in to them so they flex loads.

  • i have skinny wranglers that are a bit elastic-y. they're great for riding.

  • nudie slim jim is what ur lookin for. Ive got massive thighs and cant fit into those skinny fellas at all. The slim jim is like 501s but a little slimmer but dont worry bout them being too tight. Denim always stretches out in the spots that need stretchin and the dry denim ones seem much tighter but they really do stretch and look amazing when they fade a little

  • oh and urban outfitters sell them

  • trouser clips ? ftw

  • oh and urban outfitters sell them

    cough cough
    shameless advertising ;)

Get down to Kildare Village Josh, All Saints outlet store, savage gear dead cheap! Levi's outlet down there aswell, bargains to be had my friend, bargains to be had... ;)

  • i should check that out but the real bargains are up north, what with exchange rates bein fabulous for us

  • My all saints jeans seem really really good, they must have a small amount of lycra or something in them cos they feel a bit stretchy as well, loads of give, super comfy for riding, and 3 months of riding with little to no visible wear.

  • anyone else got crotch holes in all their jeans?

(and yes, this is to provoke abuse. anyone who knows me will understand)

I get crotch holes all the time, every pair of jeans! Even in the jeans i don't cycle in!

    What is up with that?!

  • I've never been able to wear skinny jeans (big arse/thighs, small waist) and have been wearing Road jeans for ages. They do some skinny ones (which I've never tried) but their Lumber Pants are baggy, well-made and cheapish. They also do some really, really baggy skate jeans which are extremely comfy but far from ideal on the bike :-)

True!! DFGSS trip to the north to stock up on cheap jeans maybe? ;)

Get down to Kildare Village though, I've vowed to make friends with the All Saints folks there so I can find out when their consignments get in and hit that bitch!

  • I have a problem with jeans. Yes.

Is it the hinges on your chastity belt rubbing perhaps?

  • get the train up durin the summer, theres talk of alleycats up that way, dodge car bombs and do some skids, twould be a laugh

  • Sounds good... to be honest I'm betraying my boring middle - agedness by my desire to take a van with me and go to Ikea, lol, trip north could be a good summer weekend though eh!

  • i really like skinny jeans, but i find that seams can be a problem for a lady on a bike...i've been wearing the swerve ones for a while and they are ace! hardwearing & stretchy denim with a diamond crotch which makes for an ultra comfy pair of jeans! they dry pretty quick too and the reflective strip on the turn ups is pretty snazzy. aded bonus of being good for climbing too!

  • funny, a diamond crotch doesn't sound all that comfortable...

  • Hard wearing though eh!

  • true, a good compromise perhaps...

    +1

I have a black pair. Very comfy jeans and perfect on the bike

  • To be honest I've had no problems with American Apparel on the bike at all and I do most of my cycling in them... Cheap enough, comfy and skinny, they were fine in the thigh even at my biggest though many pints of the black stuff means the waist is a little less accomodating than it previously may have been, need some bigger ones now :(

  • Uniqlo, the slim Japanese denim range have good fits and are cheap enough to not worry about trashing.

See i was looking at their jeans, but their smallest size is 30 waist, which would be way to big.

    and thats just pants!

    I remember the days when I was a 30" waist :-(
