I wear slim fit jeans a size too big on the waist with a belt, works out nicely for me. I have a friend who used to buy girls jeans from primark for £2, unpick the seam and re-sew it to get that real 'denim tights' look. I disapprove of this behaviour in general, but is an option if you're desperate haha.
A friend of mine does this, and sews himself into them before going out of an evening. All well and good in hipsterdom; but a couple of years ago he tryed to take a girl upstairs at a house party but didn't get anywhere because he was totally unable to get out of his jeans and too drunk to try and unpick them. Champion.
Primark jeans are fine though, they rip to shreds under my intense cycling power but apart from that they're fairly useable, if ethically 'orrible.
