  • Looking to order a Selle San Marco Regal for my bike, does anybody have any pictures of the titanium model? I've had a look on line but cant find any decent pictures

    Did you buy it, yet?

I'm looking into buying one, too. I have a Rolls at the moment which does not agree with my bum at all. Do you find the Regal comfy?

  • what the fuck? my Brooks Swift is fucking uncomfortable! need to keep adjusting it, feel like the saddle need to be move back a lots but don't have any room left to do that, my arse bone is really sore from those copper rivets on the brooks.

  • A total revelation

    gooch?

Hi, not yet spent all my bike money this month :( going to have to wait till next , I did find a better pic (I think it was on ebay com i'll have a search for it ) looked great, the rivets had that lovely titanium finish

I know they're meant to fit to one's arse after a while, but I must say that every Brooks I have ever tried has been pretty agonising. I suspect that like any technology saddles have simply improved over time and will thus be sticking with Koobi for any protracted riding.

Regal is more comfy Lenni. Only just though! IMO of course.

  • REGAL!!!! much more comfy, I don't get the rolls obsession, it's gold on it which is always a bonus but other than that it's too flat for some good hard pedaling.

  • Parker have come nice ones ATM. I reckon I'm going to try the Concor Supercorsa next.

  • I was using a rolls that I loved, then I moved the saddle up to match the fit on my road bike and couldn't get on with it at all. Changed to a flight and its been brilliant.

yes you can, every arse is different, some people found rolls extremely comfortable, some otherwise.

  • I'm sat on one of these I borrowed from Fiddy, it's pretty comfy.

  • ^ not for everyday use tho :/

  • Nah, it's fine for everyday use. I'm really liking it.

  • Not when you've paid for it yourself it aint! 150 sqiud :o

  • I'll be getting one too I think

  • Anybody tried out the Selle SMP Saddles? I'm about to purchase the Extra model and I'm really hoping it works out for me.

  • whats the most compliant saddle? i need something to help with my back, its killing me after a three hour pottle around the streets of london, england on monday.

a sprung brooks is one i can think of, but i'd prefer something that is less likely to be half-inched.

Sorry pal, this forum is for London, Ontario only!

Isn't back pain more likely to be to do with your riding position?

    +1

A longer saddle would let you adjust position occasionally though, this could help.
A suspension seatpost would better absorb bumps then a spring saddle (IMO).

  • fizik 'arione', loads of colours, long and multi- positional, comfy as fuck

no but let us know how you get on.

  • Just tried a Selle Italia Flite Gel Flow,

    http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/cycle/7/Selle_Italia_Flite_Gel_Flow_Saddle/5360031333/

to replace my broken Specialized Toupe. The idea was to find one with a cut out, but with better build quality. Felt like my sit bones were sliding off each side during each pedal stroke. Checked the toupe, and its width is 143mm compared to the Flite's 130. How much it's also because the Flite curves down at the edges as well, I don't know. Lots of saddles seem to be around 130. I'm undecided between just getting another Toupe, or trying a slightly flatter saddle like the SLR.

  • James try the Planet X Superlight its only £25. I replaced my broken toupe with this and so far so good.
