I like BLB :)

me too! Nothing but good service whenever ive been in, and always willing to answer questions that hundreds of people had probably asked before me.

well, he's exactly right about spoke lacing in crosses and radial in wheels, he's also right about the rivet extractor chain tool too- I was offered the same tool in my local shop in Harrow
I guess a personal opinion is just that, and when its backed by experience and facts its powerful, but it may not be the answer the person posing the question wants to hear.....................now some folk go round asking the same question of diferent people until they hear the answer they want..............

this thread's awesome.
hey
point A - The guy who was really nasty to Stormalex was me. Pleased to meet you. Radially laced wheel will not hold as well against all the road shit as a crossed wheel will. when one spoke is under load and momentarily looses its tension the fact that it is supported by the crossing spoke helps the wheel to remain true. none of this support exists in radial spoking. also it puts stress on the hub flange, spokes and rim.no real benefits apart form the looks.sorry for offering a an opinion based on building wheels, riding wheels and general knowledge on the subject.
point B - we are all really just confused about things
point C - 35 pounds is a price for a workshop quality park tool 1/8 specific chainbreaker .the price for fitting a chain is usually a fiver.sometimes free if we know you or you are nice and you dont post overheard rumors and general bullshit on the forum.
long live cavendish and fourteen bikes!!!!
