Down brick lane sunday, guy on last pavement sale on right before Rocket, had about 10 brooks saddles, and shit loads of seat posts, Condor etc, plus random wheels including front formula hub/Mavic open pro. Looked V dodgy. Worth a look if anyone lost/looses a seat this week.
i saw him when i went down to look for mine. i had to hold myself back from kicking him in the head.
can we not make up a3 posters that say things like*:
**a stolen bike will always be a stolen bike
buying stolen bikes is bad kharma
most of these bicycles are stolen*that sort of thing, and put them up all around brick lane?

bad vibes lots of stolen bikes or bits..haven't checked this thread in while :(
i like idea of the poster campaign but you don't wanna cause trouble to a legitimate bike seller...but on the other hand if they handle one stolen bike knowingly then fuck em!
at the end of the day the police won't catch them in the act there just there to stop us kicking the funk out of them keeping the peace..i'd like to know what the police are doing tackling bike crime?

I like the idea of a guerilla campaign.
I prefer the idea of F1 pit girls holding hoardings up

Pictures would help in getting possible sightings.

How about a mugshot thread? Obviously dodgy sellers at BLB and similar, take a photo stick it up here, then if you ever see these people loitering around bikes you can be sure the guy nonchalantely undoing that Brooks saddle while making conversation with you is actually stealing it.
Not sure where you'd stand legally with that though.
I'm also thinking the camera thing's a good deterrent, I mean if you see someone you suspect is nicking a bike then get a photo (and make it known), you don't have to actually go up and hassle/dropkick these people if you don't want. Leverage the CCTV 'if you've got nothing to hide' line of thinking.

My pretty colnago got nicked last night - http://www.londonfgss.com/thread20083.html
If you get it back for me there's £500 in it for you. If you happen to hospitalise the thief in the process...

Tuesday 14th, sometime between 9.00 and 5pm, from the bike racks at the King William Street entrance to bank tube, some sh*thead nicked my favourite bike. Here's a pic on the offchance that someone spots it... the only differences since the picture are a) now has Sugino Messenger 44t crankset, b) now has pale blue bar tape, c) now has a condoe seat d) mudguards off for the summer.
I love this bike.

My Parlee was stolen from near the Angel tube station on Friday 17th, between 11.30am and 4pm. It's a pretty unique bike, so should be easily noticed if anyone happens to see it.
The spec included a white Prologo saddle with 'David Arthur' printed on it, a SRAM Force groupset, Powertap rear wheel, Oval carbon bars and stem, Dura-Ace pedals. If anyone spots it, I would be most grateful...
Here's my most recent pic (but with different wheels and cranks):
Thanks in advance

Sorry to hear about these thefts Nick & David. Eyes peeled.
That Parlee can't just disappear, and the Dawes is in good nick so is somewhat unique in that respect!
maybe people should start marking their bits with unique scratches / initials / something that would make it possible for an forumengers to see if it was a londonfgss bike
i presume nobody here sells stuff to the guy who was selling the saddles
