  • good point, I just messaged seller to find out. but any comments on the bike? I've never heard of this brand.

Kwantes (as far as I know):

KLAAS Kwantes (not Kim as the ad says), born 1930 in Amsterdam. Was racer in the 50's, even 3 years as a pro
Used to be a mechanic, with track racing as speciality. I guess until approx. 20 years ago.
There were (mainly track and stayer/motorpaced/demi-fond) frames with his name on it.
Kwantes was the mechanic of the Dutch national track team and, later, (a.o.) Peter Pieters.
Pieters, the former coach of the Dutch national team, stopped after the W.C. in Poland, was a good track racer in the late 70's and 80's and early 90's, and won the classic road race Paris-Tours.
Daughter Willy Kwantes was also a good racer.

A pity the frameset isn't available anymore and a bit too small for me. Otherwise I would have tried to get in back to NL.
