ride safe people. Ride safe.
Big weekend coming up, with hopefully lots of good weather.
Lets use the benefit of our cycling knowledge to help others, have a word with cyclists exposing themselves to risks they don't need to.thoughts go out to her family and friends...

A tragic waste of life.

This forum, may have gone more mainstream - but I for one have learnt a lot about safer riding from it.... hope others do the same & try to end reduce these awful accidents.

for you.

@bluequin, i have always said that. at least ban them during rush hours
Petition? The evidence is now overwhelming that they are a total nightmare, and we'll just get more and more cyclists on the roads as the weather gets better and cycling is promoted further - and then Crossrail starts with an anticipated 200 HGVs a day removing soil through central London. Blah blah...

More tragic, upsetting news, my thoughts are with her friends and family. I cycled through that junction last night and thought how horrible it is with the current roadworks.

When will it stop?
Deepest sympathy.

Just passed this, grim scene, looks like the Po-Po were giving it the once over in view of an investigation. RIP, fellow cyclist.

Its shocking to have another cyclist fatality on that road, and not only that but another fatality caused by a lorry in such a short time.
Devastating news, thoughts are with the family, and RIP.

I will set one up if i have time today, but someone with more experience/statistics/involvement in the HGV campaign may be able to create a rather more informed prose.
We can fire off to all our email lists and request the recipients do the same.

I used to ride that route to work. There's too much traffic and too many lane shifts around that junction.
Really terrible news.

Maybe it's time for a weekday demo, snarl up central London for a few hours and get the message out... There are loads of lorries on the road atm so this is just gonna keep happening... I'm sure we could get 200+ riders together for a memorial ride/protest during rush hour...

Shit. Another very sad day.
RIP.
Ride safe all.

I turn left in that junction, coming from Old St, every morning. This is scary stuff...
I'm up for some kind of memorial/protest ride to raise awareness.
