• Charlie I've got the reg number if you want to trace it to check mirrors.
If you tell us the year numbers it might give a clue.

  • ride safe people. Ride safe.
Big weekend coming up, with hopefully lots of good weather.
Lets use the benefit of our cycling knowledge to help others, have a word with cyclists exposing themselves to risks they don't need to.

thoughts go out to her family and friends...

  • Terrible news...
Thoughts are with all those affected.

  • Devastating news. Ride safe peeps. Thoughts go out to all those who knew her.

  • A tragic waste of life.

Thoughts & prayers to all friends & family

This forum, may have gone more mainstream - but I for one have learnt a lot about safer riding from it.... hope others do the same & try to end reduce these awful accidents.

  • :(

    rip

  • for you.

  • @bluequin, i have always said that. at least ban them during rush hours

Petition? The evidence is now overwhelming that they are a total nightmare, and we'll just get more and more cyclists on the roads as the weather gets better and cycling is promoted further - and then Crossrail starts with an anticipated 200 HGVs a day removing soil through central London. Blah blah...

  • oh fuck, this makes me feel sick reading this.

RIP, thoughts with all that knew her.

  • dark times.

    Couldn't agree more...

  • Really sad news. RIP.

  • More tragic, upsetting news, my thoughts are with her friends and family. I cycled through that junction last night and thought how horrible it is with the current roadworks.

  • dear oh dear oh dear. terrible to hear, please everyone be careful.

  • When will it stop?

    Deepest sympathy.

  • Just passed this, grim scene, looks like the Po-Po were giving it the once over in view of an investigation. RIP, fellow cyclist.

  • :'(

    rip

  • Awful, awful, awful... :(
Something's gotta give, this crap's happening way too often... Be really careful out there people...

  • Its shocking to have another cyclist fatality on that road, and not only that but another fatality caused by a lorry in such a short time.

Devastating news, thoughts are with the family, and RIP.

I will set one up if i have time today, but someone with more experience/statistics/involvement in the HGV campaign may be able to create a rather more informed prose.

We can fire off to all our email lists and request the recipients do the same.

  • I used to ride that route to work. There's too much traffic and too many lane shifts around that junction.

    Really terrible news.

  • Maybe it's time for a weekday demo, snarl up central London for a few hours and get the message out... There are loads of lorries on the road atm so this is just gonna keep happening... I'm sure we could get 200+ riders together for a memorial ride/protest during rush hour...

  • Shit. Another very sad day.

    RIP.

    Ride safe all.

  • I turn left in that junction, coming from Old St, every morning. This is scary stuff...
I'm up for some kind of memorial/protest ride to raise awareness.
