I think they are banned in most velos.
Anyway, the day has finally arrived (thank god) that "fixies" are no longer "cool". I was cycling up baggot street when a group of Dublin 4 12 year olds said "Fixie.... khuuuul". So I guess thats the end of the "coolness" of "fixieing" finally laid to rest.
