One brake Single-Speed fools

You know... this bugs me.

Whatever happened to... "It's all cycling, it's all good".

Who are you to say that someone is good enough to ride their bikes with only a front brake? Especially given so many people ride on here with only a rear (brakeless) and there is greater braking efficiency in a front brake than a rear.

Elitism strikes again.

Everyone is welcome to get on a bike and ride, and as experience and skill comes with time and practise no-one should be mocked for not yet being up there in the stratospheric heights with your good self. In fact... shock, horror... they may not even care to be there if this is the kind of thinking it represents.

Hey, I agree with the more the merrier, and the safer the roads become for us. It is a problem, though, (jokes aside about slow riders) when you get someone crashing into you, as has happened to me, because they have NO brakes and cant control their bike like that. I have also been behind a ss rider who was riding like a maniac down clerkenwell rd, through the traffic, crashes into a ped crossing the road through stationary traffic, and hits the back of a cab. Mainly because he was riding like a tit, but also because he couldnt stop quick enough due to front only brake, and ss.
