It looks pretty sick, im thinking of buying
    what do you guys think?

  • Love the look of this bike

  • i think it looks dumb as shit.

  • Buy morgasm's one off him.

  • i also think they will be popular with thieves.

  • The silver version looks much better to my eyes. TBH though, they both look a bit squashed and stumpy geometry-wise which is one reason why I didn't buy one.

  • mmm martini.

  • it looks like a halfords bike

  • i wish they would sort out the fucking geometry on the langster

  • I think the colour scheme sucks. But who cares when they have ad copywriters who can make up stuff like this;

The Langster carbon fiber fork offers a stiff yet vibration-damping ride.
The 3D-forged alloy Road Stem uses a 31.8mm bar clamp area for an extra-precise steering connection.
The rounded form of the Steel Track handlebar is a classic; it’s oversized, 31.8mm stem-clamp area means steering is ultra-precise.

  • It looks pretty sick - as in vomit covered?

Had a Langster (the green one), liked it. Tires are shit (replace), saddle shit (but useable), flip the freewheel, loose the back brake and ride fixed. Bottom bracket not good either. As an introduction to riding fixed I enjoyed it.

+1 ... It just dont look right to my untrained eyes but Hab if you like it ....get it!

  • silver looks waaaay better

Honestly, the paintjob looks like shit (worse than the London IMO), they offer such a numb riding experience and the frame looks like it's melting with its cack geometry. This comes from a former owner who is glad he found his way onto steel.

    Spot on.

  • ahem

so the NY one have a stupid yellow cab "inspired" design, now the monaco one has a rally car behind it. bikes and car envy? only the guys at specialized can think this sort of shit up.

  • Modern 'LTD' edition Langsters, in those wierd colours look a little kak IMO. If you're wanna Langster then hunt down an older one at least. Dirt cheap, same geo, and far more nostalgic.........How many people on here started with one of those.....?

    • The scientifically proven design of the Body Geometry Toupé makes it easy on your soft parts.

    Lol

  • You can only buy one if you have a numbered bank account in a tax haven. Mr. Brown will be raising the whole issue at the G20 summit.

The geometry is fine. The fact that it has a compact frame makes no difference to the geometry as in how it feels to ride does it? (HA, SA, BB drop etc,.)

Or is your comment purely an aesthetic one?

  • Like it. But the polished one is nicer. Might have to buy one or a Genesis Flyer if I can convince myself to spend the money. Mind in overdrive....thinking about selling family airlooms!! hehe...

I think the visual problem is the combination of raised BB and heavily sloping top tube, leading to a more ATB frame look.

These things should'nt affect the ride of the bike, other than letting short people stand over the top tube without squeaking, and allowing you to go around corners with less chance of pedal strike.

Cant speak from experiance, but I would personally choose the genesis flyer every time.
Reviews rave about the ride and handling qualities of the bike (probably down to good geometry, steel frame, and carbon fork).

  • What's wrong with the geometry on the Langster?

  • i hate the sloping top tube tube but i bought one anyway. here it is now
