Which Saddle?

I've just broken a Specialized Toupe, after about 1 and a half years of use. The left hand 'platform' just began to buckle. Decent saddle, but does seem a bit fragile.

Exactly what happened to me.

after 25 years on the road, there is only 1 saddle for me - Selle Italia Prolink Light

so so comfy - awesome, got one all me bikes :)

Ive never been properly happy with various cheapy saddles over the years but have invested in a Brooks Team Pro for my latest build and it is a dream and getting better... Unlike all the other saddles I have had I can comfortably ride in my civvies without chafing/soreness for 20 miles.

And the best thing is as long as you dont abuse them, they appreciate in value over the years... planning to sell it in 50 years time and make a bomb :D

I'd still recommend a pension. Just a thought.

Had some £30 Dhb bib shorts previously and there is absolutely no comparisson.

Brooks B17 narrow. brilliant, comfy, but you don't half miss them when someone nicks your bike.

I think it was Brian at Roberts Cycles who told me that his dad has several bikes, but just one Brooks saddle that he moved between them.

'Edit Profile Picture' and 'Edit Avatar' (further down) are two separate options. It seems to catch out a lot of people.

The 'gravatar' comes from gravatar.com. Velocio set up this mechanism that automatically gives a gravatar to people who haven't set an avatar. There are some threads about it.
