I disagree, i like the cut - they are tight from the waist down so the material doesn't gather round your waist and have a bit of give around your thighs where you need it - the only draw back is the length, those 3/4 lengths would rub the tops of your calves.
the other up side is the lined gusset, for not other reason than i get to type the word gusset.. twice in fact.
Combats and riptops are pretty heavy material.. fkr when wet!
