Firstly i just want to state that i still **love **this bike.
however, i was riding thru the city centre today and made a turn uphill at which point my handlebars came loose in the stem!
Luckily I was able to pull over and give it a closer inspection with my heXkey.
After a few twists i realised to my horror that the threading was worn as the top screw was rotating but not securing, leaving me with a very loose handlebar.
**Truly **upset, i phoned the shop owner and told him wat happened like.
To his credit he was ace, he came with his van to pick me up and take me back to his shop where he replaced the stem with a lighter version free & he also threw in a free 1/8 chain (not colourd) Free of charge!! Then he offered to van me back home, but i was liek 'no please' and made my way back via the peddle.
But all was not well.
Just as i was approaching 1klik of my pad, i heard a clacking noise coming from the bottom-bracket area. teh clacks (which were quite loud) came with every revolution of the crank arms!
At this point i called the bike shop owner again (his name is Mick) and told him what happened even putting the phone next to the bracket so he could hear it.
He said he would replace the bottom brakcet for me Free! and also that he would openup shop **tomorrow **to do it for me specially.
What do you think, peeps?
