£95! fuck that

I popped into BLB tonight to buy a pair of the Vittorias but they only had them with a plastic MTB style sole in my size (not like the nice rubber soles that Murtle has).
I've had a dig around the interwebs and it seems they'll do different styles and colours. The Taiwanese distributor has a great page showing the options for both colours and soles;

how much are those Vittorias, and is there anywhere on the interweb i can buy them without having to go all the way to london? who has them and what do you think of them?
-

I think they are £95 but the only place that seems to sell them in the whole wide world is Brick Lane Bikes. Murtle has a pair, I was admiring them at South drinks a couple of weeks ago.

Not that I'm obsessed or anything but more pics of the Vittoria shoes here;

I emailed Vittoria last night and had an email back from them this morning saying they'll talk to BLB but essentially I should be able to order the shoes I want from them and Vittoria will supply them. Top class service.
That's made my day!

The new Exustar commuter shoes from Wiggle are excellent modern variations of the classic leather cycling shoe - can take cleats too - see http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/cycle/7/Exustar_SRT_707_Commuter~Office_Shoe/5360041403/

Um, just go against the grain of the thread, does anyone know of any nice cycling shoes (that look nice) that aren't leather?
-
• #67
Some of those Vittoria shoes above have Lorica synthetic leather uppers.

I think most, if not all, Sidi shoes are made of Lorica, which is synthetic.

For info, I was told the vittoria shoes were leather on a visit to BLB, but you can tell up close that they aren't. According to the vittoria website they're lorica (makes sense as they don't appear to use leather on any of their shoes).
Now the only decision is traditional black or pimp stylee red? Black is easier for matching socks... I just couldn't bring myself to wear white with them.

red FTW.
and yeah, they are lorica

exustar
Both the Reynolds and the holey ones have gone up quite a bit, think I paid £75 for my Reynolds quite recently. But hey that resin is probably 531.
