18 months of ownership and you are hoping for a refund
i don't think there are too many manufacturers who guarantee their new frames for that long are there ? ( except maybe a few of the higher end manufacturers )
just about all manufacturers offer a warranty for a minimum of 2 years, most are 3-5 or lifetime like marin who are hardly 'high end'
you consumer rights would give you the right to demand a replacement if the product hasn't lasted a 'reasonable period of time' for a frame i guess this should be at least 3 years?
the only manufacturer i know that offers a short warranty is orange for their 224 downhill racing frames which is only a year but a seasons racing/training is quite demanding.
don't know how you stand with a second hand frame though.
