  • Nice one all well done, especially to the 'king of the mountains' who was in RP on Sat morning as well before work and then off to LtoB in the evening, way to go dropout.

  • great ride! thanks to everyone especially to Oliver and Crispin

  • I spoke to Mick, he has just started his ride back to Uxbridge. Me and Elguapo will probably see him asleep at the side of the road when we head in to town later.

  • oh bollocks. i really did miss something good.

  • Fantastic ride guys, big thanks to Oliver for organising it!

Really wish i'd've kept my old gearing for this, if/when it happens again i'm definitely doing it on 42/16.

BTW I wimped out and caught the tube back to Uxbridge, and now i'm gonna collapse into my awesome bed for a few days.

  • excellent ride.
I rode aimlessly around london for a while, knowing that my train wasn't due for 2hrs or so after leaving mick at the station to catch a tube.
then I got on the train, and then rode home from oxford station.
photos, and vid snippets will be up shortly...

  • No, the run's been run. Next time!

! fuck ! oh well it was probly better to make a little extra money working an extra shift.

    Next time!

  • Well that was such a good way to spend a February Saturday night:

Avoiding all the aggro of the North Downs; panning down mysterious country lanes,;arriving into Gatwick Airport terminal by a service lift; Seeing Henry floored with cramp on Turners Hill only for him to rise phoenixplike to conquer Ditchling Beacon; then the long, long descent into Brighton to arrive at the pier as dawn broke, So glad I stayed on for breakfast.

Realize I've now been up for 29hours straight. overdone it a bit cos before I got home had to do some shopping at the mega Sainsbury's and took route home Via Richmond Hill and the park.

Very big-thank-you to Oliver for his work into getting along a really well-planned route wihout leading us astray. and cheers Crispin for being a reliable backstop.

Pwka also did the RP training yesterday morning. Was good to do rides in 24 hours, eith you, Rorigro

Harry, frame you mentioned is playing on my mind as apossibe purchase.

    Bed now.

  • ah well done, guys! how long did it take?

  • 4 hours 50 mins of cycling, though about 8 and a half hours all together.

  • well done guys, looked like a great night, bet you had a good laugh.. next time..

  • Urgh just arose from the weirdest night, I mean days sleep. Might have some dinner, a couple of cuppas, then do it again.

That was pretty ace, totally 531 to everyone involved, look forward to seeing everyone who wasn't next time, glad I stayed on for breakfast, and am amused at the early morning Brighton kev who threw a mobile phone at me and dropout from point blank range, missing us both.

  • It wes the most hostile reception I have ever had after completeing the L2B. Strange cycling around as people are leaving clubs smashed out of there faces.

Great ride, even cycling on the wrong kinda bike. Shame I was so spaced out, I couldn't string any conversation together, should have really had some sleep on Friday night!

  • well done fellas

  • nice one guys. sorry i didn't post that i couldn't make it - didn't want to risk it in the end - but sounds like it was ace.

  • Chapeaux bas.

  • 2:29 am gatwick airport

  • New thread posted about ride to Shoreham-by-Sea on Saturday 14th March--hopefully not too short notice:

    http://www.londonfgss.com/thread17746.html

(NB the small print is that this is basically a ride to Brighton, via Shoreham, by quite a different route.)

  • can you tell me if yur doing one in may

  • Don't know for sure yet, Ian--still planning!
