  • I am mad for bike polo. Where is my nearest competition? I live in dalston.
    Spammer.

    No polo. No talk.

  • Yo..just had a polo thought..... is it worth creating a sticky thread which is uneditable un-postable (by everyone apart from admin)which just says where and when the days game/throwins are?

eg. Thread tittle (sticky): Throwins today are here...
    North East Court
    link to court&time.

It's a good idea, but it shouldn't be admin only (imo). Unlikely to get updated often enough if it's up to just you and Mike, nor is it fair to expect you guys to make the effort to constantly update it.

  • no it wont work. try again

  • Hello, I am Duco and a total noob to fixed cycling.I am 15(16 in 20 days, lol) years old and I am from Holland. I am following this and a lot of other sites for a week now and I am totally in love with the sport. And when I came across Bike Polo I fell for that. It's great! Now I can't wait to start building my own fixie but I am having a hard time finding the right information and tips for doing that so low-budget as possible. A couple of friends of mine are interested in this too so possibly we will start a team, if we like the game after falling a couple of times ;)

Well, in short: Can you help me with as much pointers as possible?

  • Hi Duco, the best thing to do is ask on any particular problem you encounter in the way, people here is friendly and helpfull. Also to point, I'm sure half of your question has been already discuss already, I year ago 70% of us were in the same position as you are now.

  • Yes, I started reading everything from the beginning till now, I am left at page 6 so I am learning and getting entusiastic a lot. Can't wait till buying my own proper frame.

Is that any good? It has vertical dropouts so it is a possible fixie.

  • no, no, that is not good, because will be impossible to get tension in the chain.
what you need is this dropouts

so you can pull the back wheel backwards

  • check this page out, is the bible

  • I made a fixie up about a week ago
But the thing is , don't know anyone down here (Cornwall) with one.
And i want to try polo really bad. As when i was allot younger i remember playing with sticks and balls on my bike which sounds like polo :)

So if anyone down here wants to get in touch please do

  • not sure if its been mentioned or not...
west polo is on mondays. check the thread. started by dante i believe.

  • Surely west polo is still a little too far from Cornwall when riding a polo gear?
