Cheers mate, i'll probably grab something off you tomorrow at SE drinks if you're about?

  • they are now pictured in the classified section.

  • Nice jerseys...

    PM'd

  • cycles Macarini have the biggest range of repro retro trade jerseys in loads of sizes

  • i should have one left 36-38 inch chest with writing on the breast and on the back

  • What's the route???

  • What's the route???

I don't want to give it away too early, esp due to google streetview spoiling all the surprise! Plus I'm still perfecting it. I rode it on Sunday all the way and there's a couple of bits to improve to make a bit more interesting. I'll be riding it again this weekend and then with the stewards the following weekend.

Basically it starts East Central London, heads out Northeast into Essex and back round. There are some nice views, some hills to climb, some hills to fly down, a little bit of track (in homage to the Paris-Roubaix), nice British suburbia and a couple of pub stops.

ANYBODY UNSURE IF THEY ARE CAPABLE, DON'T WORRY! IF I CAN DO IT, ANYBODY CAN.

The pace will be faster than that of the tweed run due to it being outside of central London. But it is not a race. I will provide routecards, so people will be free to ride ahead and wait at the stops for everybody else. We will not be stopping traffic to go through red lights, but we will not leave anybody trailing behind either.

  • What's the route???

Lovin the avatar Polly, you comin on the ride? should be a good un!

  • i need shorts with horizontal lettering

i think this is the poster of hinault that i used to have on my bedroom wall as a young(er) boy

  • i need shorts with horizontal lettering

same here! There were some on the bay a few weeks back but they were too big for me. I reckon I'll get some plain black cycling shorts though if I can't find any.

  • Good to see the list growing gradually. I am planning the route to be rideable for both a smaller and larger group. I think as long as we don't obstruct traffic, and keep to one side on the smaller roads and paths it should be fine for 20 or 120.

  • If you can't get one from CoppiThat, What Goes Around, or Tour de Ville, there are a few nice jerseys on here...
