My mother died at 23 - childbirth. She'd just given birth to identical twins. Even that was funny to someone here on this forum.
That could be referring to me. If not, whatever.
If so, you've got the wrong end of the stick. I remember you mentioning this fact ages ago, and I said that I thought it explained everything - the loss of a twin, not the death of your mother.
There are numerous documented cases of people in your position (lost a twin at birth or not long either side) whose personalities involve a strong aspect of always feeling there's something missing. They often enter into lifelong quests to fill the void/realise the 'missing' part of their sense of self, and this can manifest in a creative way, or in idiosyncratic behaviours e.g. making lists. A sort of hunger for order, control, sense...
I added a winking emoticon after the comment being referred to, not to say ha-fucking-ha your mother and twin brother died, but as a way of hinting that you'd probably be aware of the phenomenon from your own reading around the subject, and possibly acknowledge the fact, or at least ask for clarification.
Anyway, I've got a fairly photographic memory, and alarm bells started ringing when you posted the quote above. I thought I'd better explain.
