• How do you compute this? You have two parents, four grandparents, eight great-grandparents, sixteen ... etc. Where is there a number divisible by three? Or have I missed something completely obvious? :)

    My fathers parents roots can both be traced back as anglo saxon settlers who set up in the original villages in Cornwall/Devon, so i'm counting that as one I guess as their origins don't really differ much.
    Whereas my mothers's mum's parents consisted of a half polish half russian mother and I think my grandfather on her side was of polish origin, although I would have to double check as I am not certain. Unfortunately I never got to meet either grandfather as one died before my birth and the other died before I was two (so I have next to no memory of him), otherwise I would have loved to have discussed this kind of thing at length :).
