mine was an 08. Doubt it's radically changed. Seriously loads of people ride them on the road. It will be fine

gears annoy me, i have had my eye on the fuji for a while
but saw one today up against a charge and just it looked thinner
or maybe charges are huge? -
• #1081
fuji track is not a lot 'thinner' than my IRO.
Charge is heaaaaavy.

update: evans offered me 50pounds in accesories and had no problem accepting:) also used their price promise offer and got them to lower the price to match biddlebikes. price from biddles plus shipping charges from evans = unbeatable price for ordering from germany;) biddles asked for 80 quid to ship to berlin!
@propeller. its a track bike, tubing seems alright. rims will wear off pretty fast though.
ps. noone seems to answer questions in here?

nice to hear someone in germany is into the fuji aswell :)
I ordered mine from holcroscycles for 310pounds inc. shipping to germany after I got the price adjustment. Delivery was kinda fast and it took about 3 working days. It's a shame Fuji doesn't have retailers in Germany...
Also no peeps are into fixed gear/bike polo over here, could be it's just my city (Bremen)

it does have retailers in germany. you can get their contacts through the official fuji website for germany. price is 400 euros though and they only carry the 2009 version (hate the paintjob).
anyone tried to fit this nitto stem http://www.tokyofixedgear.com/productdetails.asp?productid=00461 to a fuji track. use nitto b201aa risers right now. -
• #1085
Would an adjustable quill stem fit into a non threaded headset/fork combination? Well I don't think so :/
-
• #1086
I would need a new headset as well. please help. have really no more time to google and read. just hate the stem that came with the bike. need something shorter and simpler. quill stem would be better...thanx. How do I go to something like nitto. what would I have to buy?
-
• #1087
first sentence is missing a question mark. sorry.
-
• #1088
you need a threaded fork a threaded headset then you can get a quill stem i believe..
The fuji track is threadless as far as i remember.
-
• #1089
Yep, it's threadless.
So you have to get a new fork ;)
-
• #1090
Indeed- new fork, headset, stem, sorted.
Might be easier to get a new a-head stem tbf.
-
• #1091
There are also adjustable a-head stems available imho!
//Edittt
nopeee there aren't - there are Threaded to a-head conversion from ITM ;)

nice stuff lads cheers for the feedback
i'll order mine this week i hope ! -

So after much perseverance, it appears they're locked solid. I'm due for a service in a month or so, so I'll bring the service forward a few weeks and try to get them to fix this crap for me too.

See if you can find a fairly long solid metal tube that fits over the handle of the wrench to give you extra leverage maybe?
-
• #1095
did you grease them up a little before putting them on? usually helps out?
-
• #1096
This is going to sound nasty- but please make sure you are turning the spanner the correct way.
Then, if you are sure you are correct, get an extension bar on the end of the spanner- a metal tube of some kind.
Always easiest to remove pedals whilst the bike is built up, so you are therefore putting the pressure on the tyres rather than on a frame stand.
-
• #1097
jesus christ. google search "changing pedals".
-
• #1098
Get to your LBS and ask them to do it. They usually have a pedal spanner that's about 2ft long. That'll bring 'em right off.

As "brokestatus" mentioned - we are looking at various cycle to work schemes. The main issue with these schemes are the administrators who run them!
Typically we have to pay the administrator 10% of the transaction value - hence we can't provide the full discount to our customers, as our margins are so low - which is a real bummer for us, as it goes against our principles of selling bikes and accessories at Recommended Retail Prices.
We are currently in discussion with these providers to get these costs down - as the 10% is geared towards operating a manual form filling process (yawn). So we have put to them a computerised process which takes out these costs...
I'll keep you posted!

I don't like the new FTP, prefer the old one...
Oddly enough I completely agree!
what about the new ones though !
