I don't have a speedometer on my fixed bike, but my house mate has one on his geared Giant. He tucked in behind me down a short hill the other day and reported speeds of between 36 and 38 mph, I was on a gearing of 52:20 roughly 70GI. I've got two brakes though which meant I was able to spin freely knowing I could slow down a bit! I reckon I could perhaps eak out an extra 1 or 2 mph, although it was pretty scary so I'm not sure I'll be trying to break my current record in any hurry.
