Do you guys ever use real polo sticks? I can get these short, just the right size for bike polo (in fact I can get them made to the inch). They cost about £35. Please let me know if you or anyone else would be interested.
Cheers,

hi there made my first polo stick at weekend, well actually my second as my first one was a mop handle and wood, it didnt quite cut it, anyway i picked up a pair of ski poles at decathlon for £7.95 and aquired some water piping,
cut down the ski pole a little and the hammered a couple of inches of wood into the cut off end to plug it up.
drilled through the top of the pipe and then countersunk the inside aswell so the pole can sit in it, the pipe was thick enough
then countersunk the outside of the pipe and stuck 1 long screw through it, seems to be holding up well in practice,
oh i also cut off the ski grip because it was hard and replaced it for an old bmx grip and then hammered a bar plug in the end, i use the strap that came with the ski pole as well,
sorry if this is abit patronising but i know i had trouble in the first place and just wanted to share!
