  • I would say not, the Biddle bikes are 2008 and the Evans are 2009. They will price match like for like.

  • I know that, but that were the Evans fuck up comes in !
are there really 2 fuji 2009?
if so why is one cheaper, and the 350 one on Evans is the same as the 275 on biddle !

  • Evans website is often riddlied with errors, for example they listed a Cannondale Rush at £1200, whilst it was in reality the £4,500 version.

I ordered it just to see what I would get, then sent it back when the basic version arrived.

They will say that it is their error, they are sorry etc.

However they will price match in store if you print out the offer and take it in.

i.e. biddlebikes prices in a London shop.

  • top man " Dammit "

    thats all i needed !

  • I noticed that the other day and I think there are 2... one says "single speed" or something and is shown with cable guides under the top tube. The other is called "track" or something and has no guides. Didnt really look into it further.

  • its pretty odd

  • looks like the rear hub is the same too.... formula track 36h flip flop. Cheaper for extra braze ons?

  • possible that the 'track' track is the 2009 and the 'single speed' track os the 2008 (saw the 'single speed' track colours around last year)

  • i remember reading a thread on this a while ago but i cant seem to dig it up !
on the Evans website there are 2 Fuji track bike, both under the 2009 label. one is 350 and the other is 400 ishh. what going on here?

    and will Evans price match?
im in the market for a fuji track but have seen on Biddle bikes and some other sites i can get hold of the same bike that is 350 at evens for 275 or there abouts.

will evans price match this web price?

After a lengthy search I couldn't find anyone that beat Evans and stayed within the criteria for a price match, it's bollocks ...they do however have 10% off online at the mo !

  • possible that the 'track' track is the 2009 and the 'single speed' track os the 2008 (saw the 'single speed' track colours around last year)

That was my initial thought but they both say 2009. Im confused... but dont really care. :)

  • ... but dont really care. :)

true dat. altho i was hoping for a dirt cheap 2008 once they were informed that they were doing something illegal. not that that's gonna happen.

  • There was a mob on here last week who were reputedly selling the cheapest Fuji Track Pros seen anywhere. If I recall correctly, their link was posted by eyebrows and their analytics identifed this site and they posted a reply. If you can find the thread, they may be worth a look. I've had a quick look at eyebrows recents but cant see it.

  • The cheaper one on evans site http://www.evanscycles.com/products/fuji/track-2009-single-speed-road-bike-ec016010 is the 2008 model, they have labeled it with the wrong year.
The other one http://www.evanscycles.com/products/fuji/track-2009-track-bike-ec018091 is the 2009 model which is due in at the end of the month.
Holcro Cycles are doing the 2008 for £299 (on the site they have the wrong picture displayed) http://www.holcroscycles.com/productdetail/23/1146/Fuji-Track.html which you could get Evans to price match with.
Biddle has the best price but its only available in 61cm frame

  • have seen the fuji obey on awcyles- nice looking and have been tempted about it but not sure about the pricetag on that - £899

  • Just found this... a little bit cheaper again

Oh, this is tempting indeed. 61cm is exactly the size I need, it's sooo cheap, I discovered I wouldn't be able to use my 2006 Fuji Track at HH (long story), so I might get a bike dedicated to just the track, I don't mind if it's the 2008 model, etc.

Cons: I have no space for another bike (couldn't keep it at HH all the time), I don't really want another Fuji Track, I don't like the way the 2008 model looks all that much (prefer the 'road' look of the earlier ones that no-one likes) I might as well get a better quality bike for the track, on my 2006 model I've replaced a fair few components so might have to do it with this one, too, etc.

    Hmmm ... difficult. But tempting.

  • You are welcome to try my 2008 Fuji Track Pro if you like Oliver- it is the 61cm.

Oh, ta--might well take you up on that. The thing is that I'm pretty sure it'd fit well, but I'm wondering about all the other factors. Need to give it some more thought. I'll get back to you when I, erm, get back (currently away).

  • Seems Evans has labelled their 2008 track as a 2009. They claim this is not a mistake and that they are two versions of the 2009 with different spec, however one is IDENTICAL to the 2008. I'm guessing it is a way to get out of price matching the bargain tracks found from biddle/bikemarket/holocros

What is your height and inside leg?

    And please, no metric nonsense.

    Height: 2 yards.
    Inside leg: 1 yard.

(Yes, inside leg is exactly half my height.)

  • 6'2" with a 36" inside leg?
