  • I need to do an induction on a Saturday, after that is it OK to do training on Monday nights when it starts or do you have to do a few Saturday sessions first?
The correct answer to this is don't know, as the Monday sessions are new, so it remains to be seen how it will work.

However, the difference between scooting round on the road and being confident and able on the track isn't only speed but confidence and calmness riding close in a fast-moving group. That takes time to learn (and is why more experienced riders are so nervous on Saturday morning sessions at the moment!). Come along to as many sessions as you can before putting yourself into the position of racing.

At Manchester, BTW, you need to do at least 3 or 4* levels *of training sessions before you're allowed to race full out with the quickest guys.
