How much of a job does a toeclip actually do?
Isnt it the strap that takes most of the force?
Iv been thinking about changing from spds to platforms and powergrip type setup but the only think i dont like is that i own/would ride in a wide variety of footwear from puffy skate shoes thru low wide slip on vans to pretty skinny cons and the powergrip type straps offer no adjustability.
My though was that if i got a set of good quality double straps couldnt i just run those on a platform pedal without a toeclip?
I dont like the look of toeclips and def want to use bmx style platforms so i can get decent grip on the bottom of them for trick n shit.
