I'll not be buying it now... as I've just bought a 2007 Fuji Track frame from a forumenger.
I'm hoping to get the cranks from my beater to fit, and it'll be my everyday ride.

Different paint, cranks, hubs (now sealed), and the 2009 has a 1 1/8th steerer (I think the 2008 was 1" ahead).
My 2008 is deffo 1 1/8th steerer.
Had it a couple of weeks and loving it. Compared to the 531c conversion I've been riding for the last year it's much stiffer but still got a bit of spring to it.

Chi11i, whats size did you end up getting??
-
• #1030
I've found its not always about height either. For example I'm the same size as badtmy, but the 56cm I currently ride is way too small for me. mainly because I have 34" legs. So I'm nearer a 60cm.

Whereas I'm a smidge over 6ft and have essentially zero standover height and a decent fit on a 56. Long torso, shorter legs.

I ride a fuji track at Herne Hill Velodrome and have a 56, I had a 54 and swapped it for a 56 as 54 was too small.
I am 5.10 -

wtf? I'm 6"1' with 32inch inseam and I ride a 56cm!
-
• #1034
im 6ft and just helped a mate assemble a 54... both about the same height and it feels the right size... surley a 56 would stretch you out too much with the stem the right way up (horizontal ish instead of pointing up) 5"10' must make your upper body long to be on a 56?
-
• #1035
I'm 5'10" and ride a 54cm. Very comfy.

different people are different, innit. try one on before you buy! depends on bar/stem combination as well.

hi all. received my fuji track yesterday and love it already. there are 3 small (a couple of sq. millimetres) paint chips however that got me worried. is this normal for bikes in this price range or should I return it before taking out for a spin? they dont really bother me but wouldn t want to get cheated out of my money and/or risk rust already. another thing is that under the bottom bracket where the serial numbers are, someone, presumably an evanscycles employee chipped the grey paint (which at the point seems like it has been made to be chipped in a perfect rectangle) to reveal the serial number but did it badly and scratched the black coating as well. do I make any sense? thanx for your time.

I'd send it back and make them pay, but it's up to you.
-
• #1041
yeah. they basically offered either to pick it up or to give me some compensation. dont know depends how much they offer. i d keep it for 50 pounds off. what do you think? worth the rust?
-
• #1042
I if you do keep it... get a little tub of enamel paint from a model shop and touch-up the bare metal areas. If you can't find a close colour, just use clear nail varnish. If you do this you shouldn't get any rust.
I had to touch-up a couple of paint chips when I took delivery of a £400 hand-built frame!

Anyone know where one can get hold of a Fuji track pro?
One that looks like this:
On the international website, the bike we have as track pro is track comp! Has any of this version of the track pro come to the UK? Even if its frame only, I want!

christ lethal, that wasn't difficult, I used google:

I don't think that is bar spinnable.
-
• #1046
Thanks.
(oh, it does actually look spinnable too pending bar swap!)
-
• #1047
From the pic, it doesn't look like it will be.
-
• #1048
dunno pifko, the forks have almost no rake relative to the head tube angle, so the wheel will probably be the same distance away from the frame if the fork is reversed.
But this is beside the point, why would you want to bar spin a carbon fork?

I dont, people are mocking me!
I sold mine to a mate for £70, tyres, inner tube, cog and lockring inc.
