All this dollar/yen/sterling bollocks has really fucked that up though.

This is really similar to my brother's Geoff Roberts:

http://velospace.org/files/roberts07.jpgDoes yours have an 'R' stamped on the top of each side of the fork crown? Could've been from the same era/batch?!
Looks very nice though! -

DAMP 2.0Some parts missing as you can see...
fucking awesome.

Cute (though I'm not sure I'd want to do time trials on it) (then again I'm not sure I'd want to do time trials on anything), but I got distracted by this. Did you take it while attached to the ceiling?
Haha, yeah I'm not to hot at photography, but thought that the best way to get the bike in shot agianst a plain background would be to take it for high up. It took ages to get the right shot because I had my arm in the air and couldn't look through the view finder.

I have seen other chas roberts track forks with the "R" on the top of each side of the crown but mine doesn't have them. Our bikes definitley look like they share a similar batch of loud paint colours :)

I've just taken delivery of this:
Its actually a Geoffery Butler.
I'm gonna have it re-painted. Fluro Pink / Yella / White fade with all white bits, and idealy I want a funky front wheel, which I'd paint fluro pink. But I'm not sure I can afford one right now :(
Keep you updated.

From what someone mentioned here, Peugeot using other frame builder isn't unheard of, as apparently the actual Peugeot team tend not to ride an actual Peugeot bike.
so that's pretty normal, as far as I know.

Oooh. Thats interesting. I didn't know that.
'ta ed.I'm going to try and get hold of some GB declas though. I'd rather ride round with a bike with Geoffery Butler written on it then stinky old Purgeot.

Josh - that GR is awesome mate.

Bit more info. Mr Butler, from what I have been told, was one of the few builders/shops that was happy for his frames to go without decals or markings, so quite a lot of people got them and stickered them up as they saw fit. My girlfriends bike is a GB, which has a full set of Guerciotti decals fitted at the shop by GB.
I looked into getting GB decals for here bike, never found any.

Put together my latest frameset purchase very quickly this morning:
**Peugeot **ex-Manc frameset.
Campagnolo pista large-flange laced to NOS Rigida SX100 unmachined clincher rims.
NOS Stronglight track chainset.
Michelin axial supercomp tyres.
Cinelli criterium bars + stem.
'Sheldon Brown is my co-pilot' seatpost.
I was SO keen to ride it, but the BB it came with is too short - argh! -

Guy: Thats awsome. Thanks for the info. You can get GB declas from the GB shop. http://www.gbcycles.co.uk/
I've just given them a bell. They are sorting through their box of decals atm. Got to call 'em back in a bit and they'll let me know what they got. I'm thinking all white ones for both sides of the down tube and the head tube badge. -

Will do. I'll PM you what they tell me.
From what it sounds like when I spoke to them earlier they have Red/White, White, Black. But I'll let you know for sure in like 10 mins. Tell you how much they are too. -

Thanks to Snowy for the frame and El Squire for the fork. A cheap and cheerful build to get a new housemate on the road, parts mostly spares:
(Yes the stem looks iffy, oh well.)
It Lives!
Glad someone made good use of it Jon...

Anyone know what these bars are? Look shallower than the somas, looks like a deep continental touring shape? They're Like a mungo shape, right?
