Im a big fan of open pros but also think that they do not have the same resistance to going out of true that a deeper section rim has. Alot of people are going for velocity deep v alternatives based on the fact that everyone rides them... but i think that just illustrates how good they are for london roads... yes they are heavy but track bikes arent about weight weenie antics. I have been through 3 open pro rims due to potholes and shunts in london on my roadbike, when i switched to a deeper section fulcrum wheelset i have never had to true them. i think on your bike polished or plain silver Vs would look very nice. the only reason i would choose another rim would be if you didnt want a brake surface as a rounded sidewall would look better...
