I have to disagree with this. He did not know that I could have avoided him as he did not see me until it was too late! So how could my actions make him think more poorly about cyclists? My actions would have made him think.
Shit I did not see that guy, I really had better pay attention to the road more instead of trying to stop this monster V12 engine from stalling

It's only my opinion mike but I think you should have avoided running into him. If it was the other way around and he saw fit to drive into you to teach you a lesson you'd be one pissed cyclist (and rightly so).
I'm all for the occasional verbal abuse directed towards other road users but hitting someone for the sake of it is a pleasure that I find is best kept on the polo court and not on the roads.
