Agree with you guys, comfort is not an issue for me, i prefer performance to comfort usually :) but even with stiff frame there probably would be a way around it - 25 or 28mm tires, choice of seat, seat post, fork i can guess..
The fatigue is the thing.. loads of those 'commercial' bikes are made of alu and they apparently sell and last and don't usually fall apart but i wonder if they would last decades like some old steel frames. Iam going to use my bike for races, A to B commuting from bank to stokey (through harsh Kingsland Rd :/ ) thats why my concern..
