if you really want it, then yes, pay for it via paypal and end it. ebay rules show you have a stronger case once you've paid for the item.

also, ebay rules state that a seller can't refuse payment on an item won at auction.

"In addition to the above rules, here are some additional policy breaches not permitted on eBay:

to what degree any of bay's rules are in line with the law i have no idea, and the ebay website isn't particularly helpful there. sorry.
