I ditched the rear brake in 07, the front in 08, and for 09 i am going the whole hog and going NoChain™
Riding with just a front SS is as sensible as riding brakeless on fixed, but hey,you takes your chances - i am more concerned about the number of clueless fuckwits riding around brakeless on fixed who nearly kill me on a regular basis than someone riding an SS with one brake.
I'm nopt anti riding brakeless, but i only know of a few riders who can do it safely
