Was running two, now running one brake and at first I didn't see the point of riding no brakes. After riding without the rear one I take the point Scot makes about smoother riding and controlling your speed carefully throughout your ride rather than relying on brakes to scrub speed. That said I'm neither competent or confident enough to remove the front, not yet anyway. I do try to keep its use to an absolute minimum, and its almost a shame I'm returning to feewheel, gears and brakes to ride New Zealand and interrupt my developement riding fixed.
Not a huge shame though!
