Hmm well I don't bother with dibs in either selling or buying a pm is my preferred method and its whoever gets there first, beyong that if there's dithering its the perosn with cash who wins.
Tarting about wanting pics of something very mundane and there's zillions of them around wastes time. There is a fair point a pic will tell you if the goods are in good order or not, but intuitively you know who you can trust and who you can't by their pm's or posts etc.
I've had one or two let downs, but generally its beer money so no big deal, and the let down's been put right one way or another.
I'd have to admit the dibs looks good an keeps the thread high in the stakes, but no follow up pm asap and you're out of it.
