There is also a personnel entrance to the olympic site right on the greenway (like right on the path) between these two points, along with security guards at the entrance who may take offence to racing past the site door, assuming they are still working. not sure what time they knock off shift but I've been through between 6.30 & 7 before and they have still been there - but it's dead quiet at around 9 with no-one about except "hoodies" bunching around light poles selling suspicious substances......
We chose that kind of time, because there's less likely to be people walking along there. There's only a couple of access points onto the greenway in the bit we're looking at, so as long as we have a few people making sure no one's coming, we'll be all good. We're going to have radios and all that.
The security guards don't have to like it, it's public land. Not public land for racing bikes on of course, but as long as we're not dicks about it it should be fine.
