  • for sale is my bike :( I have had serious knee problems as a result of years of skateboarding and have been told by a physiotherapist that riding fixed is aggrevating this. Unfortunatly being able to walk properly is taking priority over what bike i ride so im going to have to get some gears. Anyway, sob story over.

    • Bob Jackson Vigorelli 56 cm seatube, british racing green, gold lug lining
    • Phil Wood High Flange hubs, 36 front and rear. Fixed/Free
    • Bontrager Racelite 23c tyres
    • Mavic Open Pro rims
    • DT Competition Double Butted spokes
    • Sugino 75 Cranks
    • Sugino 75 track chainring 48 tooth
    • Miche BB
    • Phil Wood Sprocket 18 tooth
    • Nitto Noodle bar
    • Paul E Lever
    • Shimano 105 Calliper
    • San Marco Regal Saddle
    • Belleri 110 stem
    • Planet X track grips all over the bars
    • KMC chain
Apart from the seatpost and headset everything is less than 2 months old and in near perfect condition. The only sign of wear is on the back of the chainring spider which has been filed down slightly by lbs to allow for the tight clearance with the chainstay.

Pm me if your interested. Will get some more photos up when i get the chance. cheers

  • if no interested, split on the Sugino crankset?

  • dont mind spliting but only really if everything is vouched for. will keep it in mind though

  • if you did split how much for the wheelset , 18 t phil and paul lever?

  • that bike split into pieces is worth some dollar.

  • Dammit! Second on the 75s if you split

  • waffle - if your knees are shagged why not just put a freewheel and a backbrake on?

you get to keep your lovely bike and look after your knees as well

[I've bolloxed my kness as well and while I'm ok with fixed on the track the stop/start nature of general riding gives my knees way too much grief so I run SS for banging around town]]

  • How much are you asking for the full bike?

  • 3rd dibs on the cranks and 2nd on the phil 18t if you decide to split

  • I may be interested in the saddle if you split. Price dependent :)

  • you must be devastated... that bike's had time and love invested.. sorry to hear this dude x

  • If my doctor told me that I couldn't ride my Jackson fixed.... I'd fit gears to it. Not to tricky to make it a 5 speed.

  • 4th dibs on the 75 cranks

  • Dibs on the front wheel + tyres. Back one as well if you want rid of both together.

  • IT sucks about your knees, sorry to hear it. +1 to making it a ss

  • i love this bike. i don't think i can afford it though. whilst some have said that splitting it might be more lucrative, it'd be nice to keep it together as it's such a well-thought-out cool build. good work.

if you are splitting it however, I would probably take the frame as I'm in the market for a BJ and these colours are right up my street.

EDIT: I'm an idiot. I thought it was black with white lining from looking at the photo, but it clearly says green with gold. oops, sorry. Lovely nonetheless.

  • I should add, I also think it would be a shame to split it.

  • what a bummer man...... i've been having alot of trouble ith my right knee recently, i can't imagine hat it would be like to be told i couldn't ride my bikes!
make it SS and ignore the haters.

  • thanks for all the condolences. it really is pretty hearbreaking! i have thought about ss but if cant have the control of fixed id rather the speed of gears. id rather not split it but if theres no takers for the bike i will. cheers

  • If my doctor told me that I couldn't ride my Jackson fixed.... I'd fit gears to it. Not to tricky to make it a 5 speed.
look at the dropouts, didn't think you could put gears on track dropouts? that bike is yummy, go for ss or an electric wheelchair with arospok, brakeless and double wrist strap ftw, those old folks always look so happy on them.

  • 8 speed nexus internal hub gears. you'll get a range of 307% and get to keep the bike.

  • 2nd dibs on the saddle if you do split

  • Sorry to hear about the knees. Though it is a beautiful bike. Spilt it and it'll be the bike equivalent of Will Smith in 7 Pounds. Giving all its vital organs to those who really need them. Like me :)

    Dibs on:
    either/both wheels
    Paul E lever
If thats a Chris King Threaded Headset?

  • hi there beautiful bike, how much would you be after the bike, i was thinking bout selling my current ride to pay for it. cheers
