853 is better, cos it's lighter (u can draw the tubes thinner cos its stronger).
However, it's easier to ding and dent since it drawn out thinner which is a major thing to think about as a bike to use properly around town and such.
These are just thinks i've picked up from google along the way.
Lighter is not always better: 853 is not indestructible, and when it goes it tends to really shear off. Softer steels typically tend to bend rather than snap when they yield...
