Regarding Campag's hidden spider arm, integrated into the crank arm, does this help in stiffness or is it reduced? Why is this not used on their track cranks?
edit - thinking about the latter Q - You would presumably only be able to you Campag chainrings, designed to take the sunken bolt on the opposite side of the chainring, therefore limiting options of chainrings you can use...
