I'm just savouring my last shot from my bag of Monmouth. Even though it's a good few weeks old, it's infinitely better than the illy stuff I'd been using before, but then you all knew that already.
Umming and ahhing at the moment - I went for the bottomless portafilter a few months ago, and haven't looked back. I can't see myself ever using the normal two-spout portafilter again to be honest. The job I did of the original one though was a bit shoddy, and the handle for that portaflter was crap too. Shall I just take a hole-cutting drillbit to the new portafilter holder and be done with it?
While I'm at it though, I'm finding it nigh on impossible to find parts for my Gaggia Cubika - particularly a group gasket. Any ideas? Everywhere seems to sell the Gaggia group gaskets, but they don't fit the Cubika apparently.
It's making me wonder - maybe I should just start putting the pennies aside to get a Rancilio Silvia...
