    Done

  • Thanks - great work with the map

  • I wouldn't have spotted it if I hadn't been waiting for a bus. They do have some good kids' bikes as well as the antique stuff. I like their principle of reconditioning old bikes to put them back on the road.

It's called 're-cycle' and it's on elephant road just off the new kent road
there's usually something interesting to look at in there
don't remember it being particularly cheap though

  • You've also missed that piss poor Cycle Surgery on Holloway Rd;-)

  • Added some more places oop north. Not necessarily recommending them, but if you're in the area and in need of something they might be helpful.

  • @ Furious Tiles - added that one yesterday after I called in for an inner tube (got lost trying to find Holloway Cycles). Didn't think it was all that bad...

@ Seeds - nice, thanks. I reverted your accidental change of the map name too :)

  • Oops, sorry :)

  • I don't have a google account, but if anyone wants to add A&W cyles in Colliers wood (23 Abbey Parade according to a review on google, but looks more like Merton High street to me), they are great, particularly for wheel building.

Also they've been there for ages (the guys in there are both in their 60's) so have had things that none of the central london shops had (at least not BLB, cavendish, evans, condor, bike magic...)

Also an action bikes in wimbledon: 221 The Broadway
    London, SW19 1SD, United Kingdom
    020 85400313
I've always had good service from them, although I think they are a little expensive (particualrly when it comes to repairs...)

Finally apex cycles in clapham: 40-42 Clapham High St, London, SW4 7UR, United Kingdom‎ - 020 76221334‎, lovely people, again a bit expensive... maybe I'm a skin flint rather than these places being expensive!

  • @ Furious Tiles - added that one yesterday after I called in for an inner tube (got lost trying to find Holloway Cycles). Didn't think it was all that bad...

I'm rather fond of the place but what can I say I'm connected.

Also to add though Jazz Cycles: 7 Georges Rd, N7
A couple of Polish lads have set up a workshop n sell a few bits.

  • A couple of decent shops which are worth adding:

    Phoenix Cycles
    59a Battersea Bridge Road
    London
    SW11 3AU
    T: 0207 738 2766
    Opening times

  • strattons have always been really helpful and another shop for the south

    101 East Hill, Wandsworth
    London, SW18 2QB

  • Was about to post about Bicycle Workshop, All Saints Road... ditto BikeFix on Lamb's Conduit St.

    Also ...

    http://www.kiwicycles.com/ (hackney),
    http://www.harryperrycycles.co.uk/ (Woolwich),
    and Geoffrey Butler http://www.gbcycles.co.uk/ (Croydon)

    ... are missing.

Good work mattty. I hope you can find the time to add these on our behalf.

  • Ummm. Just noticed... there's a big Evans-sized gap in this map

I happen to like some Evans according to who the staff are there.

agreed. The London Bridge branch were playing the (unreleased) new Mastodon record last time I was in. Massive kudos for that.

the Waterloo branch are had some bad hippy trance on last time I was in, have not been back since.

bike yard east, 1 goldsmiths row, hackney e2 8qa

  • Just seen 14 added, looks like they have a lot of nice shiny stuff... :)

You'd better lock the map from OOL, though.

  • Just added a few in the West, including the little-known London Joggers on Goldhawk Rd, and Cyclopedia who in High St Ken are always great.
