apparently my ideal crank length in 180mm.... obviously too long for fixed gear.
i however feel like im spinning a kiddie bike if i use 165's and i feel im not getting into the power stroke of my pedalling, if that makes sense.
i use 170's or 172.5 generally.Well, Mr Burrows always like to challenge convention. Scroll down to his thoughts here

Forget Mr Burrows then if you think he a bit mad.
Type crank length calculator in Google,
some calculators recommend that my crank length be 190mm+ :O
No big deal. But interesting. -

According to Mike Burrows all cranks are too long and he seems to have sound reasoning behind it (less leg movement, different foot speed), so the use of shorter cranks might be a happy accident for fixed gear.
And also, pedal strike is not the best thing to happen in a corner so that is reason enough!

That looks a really impressibe make over for a plug, but whats with the steep drop stem but a bunch of spacers?
Also as everything is black, why the white saddle?Theres nothing wrong with long cranks, if the rider needs em. I think too many people are brainwashed into thinking they need short cranks for fixed gear.
But a larger track size chainring would 'fill out' the large bike a lot better.
I used to says that this was a stupid idea, spacer and then use that headset, but then, the owner just like to have their bike to look rather aggressive without having the stem too low, so I doubt it would look nicer with a normal straight stem.
It look like the chainring is incredibly small than the cranks being long.

I don't care if it has gears, the pantografo and the colour are pure sex.

The attention to detail and craftsmanship of this is amazing
That's possibly one of the most beautifully crafted bikes I've ever seen.
Very, very good. -

Actually the whole front wheel doesnt belong.... it's silly running a tub on the rear and a clincher on the front.
Other than that the bike is amazing.

Why silly running a clincher on the front and tub on the rear? One could make a good argument of the fact that the tub's superior ride and comfort quality are most appropriate on the rear wheel as it takes a higher proportion of the rider weight. I know the tubs vs clinchers is an old argument, but tubs are a frikin' great ride. Perhaps tubs and clinchers on one ride is the best of both worlds
