Me too, normally. But I know Essex a bit by now and the route is really quite straightforward.

Nah, I'm up for anything. Riding with someone who isn't constantly lost makes it easier. Also, if there's a bunch faster than me then I'd try and hang on.

People pretty much stayed together until just before North Hill last time, and the reason why it all frayed was because everybody started to go at their own speed to get to the caff because of the heavens opening. The return leg was several different groups as speed differentials were beginning to show more clearly. You will find a good group to go with if you're keen on it.
