No, seriously they do have them there. I have to confess that I have never had one. My comment that they are awful is the only made up bit. Once I arrived fairly ealry and had a chat with one of the stewards who told me what was in them. It was "scouse" from which scousers get their name. Anfield (and I am afraid to say, also Goodison) are not noted for their culinary delights, neither in the ground nor in the vicinity of the ground. If I have needed to eat I have either gone to central Liverpool or to a service station on the way. I do have a friend who had a lucky superstition on the way to Goodison and Anfield of going to the McDonalds on the way. Last time I looked, they had demolished it which probably accounts for our poor performances up there recently.
