HarryMajor. Sadly people who take the attitude that they can take an extra day off are often the people who find themselves with plenty of spare time on their hands. We are in a recession. Job losses are happening. More will happen. Getting another job is going to be very difficult. If you want to keep your job, show that you are willing to make an effort. Get noticed making an effort. Then when the choice comes down to you or the other guy, you may still be working this time next year.

Not entirely true, my boss is a fucktard and does not like being questioned (about anything), he is always right, he and the directors/owners can not see that the only way to see the end of this recession is toget rid of the dead wood. They employed 8 people in 08 which lessened my work load, I now have time to post on here.

I am currently on a 3 day week, and as a result am actively seeking employment else where (bank manager is getting very annoyed) along with several of my colleagues. If we are all succesful the company will be right up shit creek.

I feel that the company would be quite happy to get rid of me and keep the newer staff (despite the fact that they can't actually do my job) because they are too dumb to question anything. They are a bunch of yes men and arse lickers. I wish them all luck (but only after I have some first).
